We’re a small team of seasoned safari hands with careers spent running small group trips and safari properties across Botswana and Namibia. Between us, that’s decades of dust on our boots, more campfires than we can count, and some serious opinions on what makes a safari really stand out.
The Adventurer’s Collection is built on those opinions. We run small group trips capped at seven travellers and partner with excellent-value properties that immerse you in the bush with no white gloves or private butlers in sight. Plus, we never compromise on the fundamentals: incredibly wild places, sharp guiding and camps with personality. Anything that doesn’t serve the safari experience is left at the door.
Every property in our collection has been chosen for its access to great wilderness, consistent standards and (big!) personality. We’re also associated with Natural Selection and work closely with a trusted network of partners across the region, ensuring high standards all round.
So, whether you’re joining one of our scheduled trips, booking a stay or shaping a journey from scratch, the recipe stays the same: meticulous planning, honest advice and a seriously good time in the bush.

Adventurer’s Collection is a partnership of independent operators, not a corporate group. Every property and safari company in our collection is owner-run or family-owned, each with its own personality and way of doing things.
What we add is the connection: a vetted set of trusted partners, consistent standards across the board, and a shared belief about what a fantastic safari really looks like.
Wilderness Dawning has been running mobile camping and overland safaris through Botswana’s best wildlife areas since 1996. Their terrain covers the Okavango Delta, Moremi and Chobe, and their style is tried, tested and totally classic: small groups, remote camps, top-notch guiding and a light footprint.
Family-run since 1986, NTT is conservation-focused, sustainability-led, and undeniably Namibian. They cover the country from top to bottom, offering guided lodge tours, self-drive itineraries, fly-in safaris and mobile camping expeditions, all run by people who’ve been doing this for nearly four decades.
A family-owned safari lodge just outside Maun, Thamo Telele is set in a blissful private reserve along the Thamalakane River. Giraffes wander past at breakfast and plains game amble below the chalets, and the vibe is relaxed and nature-led. An all-round excellent landing pad before or after heading into the Okavango.
A collection of multi-coloured rondavels in a forest of enormous baobabs just outside Gweta, there’s nothing on the continent like Plant Baobab. Spend your days quad-biking across the salt pans and meeting the resident meerkats, and end them in the aadvark-shaped swimming pool.
What we like to call a “floating safari” in the Okavango Panhandle, the Spirit is all about slow-paced wildlife viewing from the water, birdwatching with a difference, and, when the season is right, the chance to catch a mighty tigerfish.
