Our small-group safari packages strip back your trip to what actually matters: closeknit groups (capped at eight), the best guides in the business and the most extraordinary wildlife areas in Botswana and Namibia. All the route-planning, bookings and nitty-gritty timings are handled in advance, so all you need to do is turn up, hop in, and see what the bush has to offer.
We offer guided lodge safaris with accommodation in a selection of lodges and fixed tented camps, and guided mobile safaris (sometimes called mobile camping safaris) that will take you even further off the map. On a mobile safari, the whole camp will travel with you, as well as a dedicated team that will pitch the tents before your arrival, dismantle them after a morning coffee, and have them ready and waiting at the next stop.
Either format can be joined as a scheduled departure alongside other travellers or run exclusively for your own private group.
Our guided lodge safaris are a happy middle ground. Lead by excellent guides these journeys are ideal for those wanting a richer safari experience without sacrificing ease.
By day, you’ll explore some of Botswana and Namibia’s best wildlife country, binos poised, and by night, you’ll have the comfort of a lodge or fully-serviced tented camp to look forward to. Each property is in its own world, some on winding waterways bursting with game, others perched on concessions where the vehicles are outnumbered by everything else, but all are solid, well-run and much-loved.

The accommodations in our lodge itineraries are all unique, but they all have one thing in common and that’s a standout location. Some are permanent lodges with walls and a wine cellar; others are semi-permanent or permanent tented camps that have been in the same patch of bush for years and have the patina to prove it. All deliver a real bed, a real bathroom, a hot shower and a campfire that beckons for a pre-dinner something…

As you move, the camp is broken down and pitched again at the next site by a dedicated crew who will have everything ready before you can say “sundowners.” And it’s all done without leaving a trace, meaning the patch you occupied returns to being bush the moment you’ve gone. In between, you’ll travel in open 4x4s with your group and professional guide.

What makes this format truly special is the access. Our campsites are remote and private, sited in some of the best wildlife regions in Botswana and Namibia, with the soundtrack at night provided by whatever the bush happens to be doing, be it lions calling or hyenas whooping. This is the part of safari that a brochure, however good, can only ever describe to you.
You will stay in fully serviced tented camps that travel with the group, simple in style and designed to keep you close to the bush. Depending on the route, you might sleep in Meru-style canvas tents or a smaller 3 x 3 metre dome tents, each with a sewn-in ground sheet, private bathroom, real bed, and down duvets and cotton linens.

A small group safari is a scheduled, guided trip through Botswana and/or Namibia with a maximum of seven travellers. Our small group safaris are intimate enough that everyone gets a window seat, personal attention from the guide, and access to areas that larger convoys can’t reach.
A guided lodge safari moves between our lodges and camps each night with all comforts on tap. A guided camping (mobile) safari travels with a fully serviced tented camp that’s pitched fresh at each new site. Both are led throughout by an expert guide.
Definitely not! Our mobile camps are fully serviced with a dedicated crew handling everything from pitching tents to cooking meals. You’ll get a proper wilderness experience without needing any camping skills of your own.
Our small group safaris are capped at seven travellers, whether you join a scheduled departure or arrange a private group. It’s a deliberate limit that keeps things personal and flexible.
Yes. Solo travellers are welcome on our scheduled departures. In fact, it’s a great way to safari with good company without the cost or hassles involved when arranging a private trip.
Packages typically include accommodation, meals, guiding, and activities across every camp on the itinerary, plus internal transport between stops. Full inclusions are listed on each safari’s itinerary; please check before you book.
Most days involve game drives, short walks, and time on the water rather than strenuous activity, so our safaris suit most reasonably fit travellers. Let us know about any specific needs and we’ll help you pick the right itinerary.
